Ireland's Homes Interiors & Living magazine - May 2024

Featuring our Foxrock project:

"Meeting The Brief

Interior designer Michelle Burnett was responsible for adding the finishing touches to this Dublin new build.

This was a new build contemporary home in the upmarket suburb of Foxrock, Co. Dublin. Split over three floors, the master bedroom suite covers the entire top floor and comes complete with a roof terrace which takes in the stunning views out towards Dublin Bay. The owners had purchased the property and made a good start on kitting it out with new sofas and beds, etc, however when the pandemic hit their furnishing endeavours stalled. When lockdown lifted and life began to return to normal they made the decision to call in the services of interior designer Michelle Burnett for some help in completing the project."

Featuring our fun Foxrock project:

"Personality has been injected into this new-build Foxrock home with bespoke art, added storage and tactile finishes.

Starting with a blank slate, Michelle Burnett of Cush Interiors has created a home that feels true to its owners.

A new-build home has many advantages, but sometimes it can be tricky to know how to add character and personality when you’re starting with a blank slate.

Such was the conundrum the owners of this Foxrock home faced when they got in touch with Michelle Burnett, director of Cush Interiors.

“The homeowners had made a start on furnishing their new home and bought a few great pieces of furniture such as their sofas,” Michelle explains, “but then the pandemic and lockdowns kicked in so their décor plans ground to a halt. Post-pandemic they reached out to me for help with sourcing furniture and to help transform it into a personalised home for them.”

"This Enniskerry home is full of opulent, moody glamour"

Cush Interiors has transformed this new build home into a dark, luxurious space.

When faced with a new build home, it can be hard to put a unique stamp on its often blank design, and rarely do you see one that feels so unique as this home in Enniskerry.

Its owner approached Michelle Burnett of Cush Interiors with a brief for a dark, moody and glamorous look. Michelle knew she needed to create a truly bespoke space. “I’ve always been passionate about supporting Irish artists and craftspeople,” she says, “and so I try as much as possible to source locally from the enormous talent pool of Irish makers.”
