First step
An initial consultation is the first step towards your home transformation. Michelle will meet you in your home to conduct a needs assessment and help you to explore the potential of your property. She will explore the interior architecture to assess how the property flows for you and your lifestyle.
Michelle will discuss ideas on styling, furniture, furnishings, curtains, colours and layouts. This initial consultation is an outline review and needs assessment overview only, to establish summary costings and is charged per project.
To manage expectations, we can only currently take on projects that have a minimum of 4-6 month lead in time-frame to allow adequate time for the design process, sourcing materials and for all custom furnishings to be made.
Interior Designer Service
Michelle will create a home that reflects you and your lifestyle. At Cush Interiors, we avoid trends as they quickly become dated. Instead we listen to our clients to create decor schemes that suits their lifestyle with a nuanced flair to match their personality, while also considering the architectural style of the property. With an eclectic mix of antiques and bespoke commissioned furniture, Michelle creates homes to relax and enjoy.
Michelle specialises in interior architecture and space planning. She looks beyond the existing wall configuration and will propose a better layout that flows according to your needs. Pinching space from one room and giving it to another can make the world of difference in terms of the functionality of your home.
It is recommended that you engage professional interior design services early in your project so that Michelle can work alongside your architect and/or your builder for better outcomes. This avoids you facing costly late changes such as re-positioning of windows/doors or fixtures/radiators etc, which all impact the furniture layouts, and avoids compromises.
*You will be required to hire a separate project manager to oversee and manage the trades teams for the renovations of your home.

Michelle provides a professional and personalised service with a first-class service from concept to reality.
Starting with an overview consultation to assess your needs, wants and lifestyle, Michelle will then create a design concept. The next phase involves developing the design, honing the details and sourcing craftspeople. Michelle then curates a cohesive collection of antiques, art, furniture and furnishings, specifying all finishes. She then coordinates the installation of the furnishings with your contractor of the build/renovation.
